How to Choose an Energy Healer You Can Trust

You have found a healer whose words feel right. Something in you wants to book. Then a quieter voice asks whether they really are who they say they are.

That voice is not your enemy. It is there to keep you safe. In this post I will share seven simple checks, the same ones that shape how we review every healer on EaseHere. They will help you listen to that voice, get your answers and then let go into a session that is right for you.

Key takeaways

  • A trustworthy healer describes their work in plain words and never promises a health outcome.
  • Training matters less than openness about it. Ask and notice how they answer.
  • Your consent comes first, every time. A hands-off session is always an option.
  • Pressure, fear or a request to pay outside the booking system are signs to walk away.

1. Start with what you are moving through

You do not need to know the right modality (the type of healing) or the right words. Start with what you feel. It might be stress that will not lift, grief, burnout, sleepless nights or a life that is changing faster than you are.

On EaseHere you can describe it in your own words and be pointed toward healers who work with exactly that. No one gets shown first because they paid more. If you would like to understand a practice before choosing, our Healing guide walks you through Reiki and Pranic Healing.

2. Read how they describe their work

A good profile tells you what a session actually involves. It says how long a session lasts, whether it is in person or online and who the healer usually works with. Plain words are a good sign.

Be careful with profiles that promise to fix a specific illness or that sound impressive without telling you what you will experience. Energy is subtle. Some people feel warmth, tingling or deep calm. Others notice very little. That is fine too. An honest healer will tell you so.

3. Ask about training and listen to the answer

Training varies a lot. Reiki, for example, is usually taught in levels. Other practices have their own paths. For most of them there is no single official register, so a title on its own tells you little.

What tells you more is openness. Ask where and how someone trained. A healer you can trust will be happy to answer. On EaseHere, healers list their own training. When a healer shares a certificate, our team looks at it by hand and their profile shows "Trained in" that practice. We do not check certificates with schools or teachers. We will always tell you that plainly.

4. Your consent comes first

Letting go is easier when you know you are safe. In an in-person session, a good healer does four things.

  • They tell you where and how they would like to place their hands and ask before any touch.
  • They offer a completely hands-off session if you prefer, with no explanation needed.
  • They stop straight away if you say no, change your mind or seem uncomfortable.
  • They keep everything fully clothed and respectful.

Online and distance sessions involve no touch at all. Every healer on EaseHere agrees to these promises in our Code of conduct before their profile goes live.

5. Notice how they talk about your health

Energy healing works alongside medical care. A healer worth your trust never diagnoses and never promises a specific outcome. They never suggest you drop treatment your doctor has prescribed.

If you are pregnant, recovering from surgery, sensitive to touch or working through trauma, mention it before you begin. A good healer will welcome that conversation and adapt the session for you.

6. Watch for pressure, fear and money games

Healing should never feel like a sales pitch. Walk away if a healer does any of these.

  • They push you to book a long run of sessions before you have had one.
  • They tell you that you are cursed, blocked or in danger and offer to fix it for a fee.
  • They ask you to pay outside the booking system, by bank transfer or a payment app.

You do not need a crystal ball to spot these. Fear is the giveaway. On EaseHere, payment always stays inside the booking flow. If anyone asks you to pay elsewhere, please do not send money. Tell us instead.

7. Trust how you feel, then let go

Your own sense of a person counts. After a first session, ask yourself whether you felt heard. Ask whether you felt safe enough to relax. You can end any session at any time without giving a reason.

Once your checks are done, allow yourself to let go. You have done your part. Now you can just be.

If anything ever felt unsafe or wrong, you can report it from the healer's profile, through our Safety center or by writing to support@easehere.com. A real person reads every report.

Common questions

Do I need to know which type of healing I want?

No. Start with what you are going through and let guided matching suggest healers. You can also browse by intention, modality, format or country.

Can I have a session online?

Yes. Many healers offer sessions over video or as distance healing, with no touch at all. Find a quiet, private space. Keep some water and a blanket nearby.

What if a session does not feel right?

You can stop at any point. Honest feedback is welcome. If anything felt unsafe, use "Report a concern" on the healer's profile.

You do not have to find your way alone

Every healer on EaseHere is reviewed by a real person before their profile appears. When you are ready, browse healers at your own pace. You can also visit the Safety center to see how we look after our community.

May you find someone who helps you feel safe enough to let go, whenever you are ready.

Energy healing is a complementary practice. It is not a substitute for professional medical or mental-health advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always talk to a qualified healthcare provider about any medical concern.
